This part number will add the canister to a new purchase of an ARS monotube shock. The advantage of a canister shock is that it has less rod pressure than the non-canister version. It provides the driver a little better feel of the track along with better performance on a rough track as it virtually eliminates cavitation and gives better control due to the external base valve. ARS already has really low rod pressure through its unique base valve design. But the canister takes it one step further.
